The current owners have taken the shell of the property and reformed it with much thought, planning, love, care and attention to detail; and not forgetting a considerable financial investment to bring it to its current presentation.

With new electrics, plumbing, floors and walls and refurbished doors, windows and shutters the property is simply ready to move in to and enjoy.

Entering from the main front door of the house you arrive at the entrance hall giving access to a large reception room that is utilised as a dining room. From the hall you immediately see the mix of the new and the old, the new being the brick archway and fire surround for the log burning stove and the old being the wood ceiling beams and floor tiles.

Also on the ground floor and accessed from the reception room there is a double bedroom; a smaller occasional bedroom with doors opening on to the pool and courtyard area; and a staircase to the first floor.

The L shape staircase leads to a small landing area where to the left there is a double bedroom with walk in wardrobe and en suite shower room; and to the right a large living room with impressive high sloping wooden beamed ceiling.

The air conditioned living room also has a log burning stove; two sets of double doors, one for a Juliet balcony and the other leading to a terrace that has great views and also overlooks the swimming pool.

The final part of the internal construction is the large master double bedroom also with the feature beams, Juliet balcony and en suite shower room with shower, toilet and basin.

The exterior of the property is set around the 8x4m swimming pool finished in a Pebbletech design that gives it a feeling of antiquity rather than a modern day addition that a mosaic tile finish may have given. With Roman steps at the arched shallow end closet to the house it is a very inviting and impressive entrance to the outside area.

To the left of the swimming pool is what the current owners refer to as The Cloisters, an open fronted room running along the boundary of the property. Currently used as an outside family entertainment room with table tennis table and the likes, this area could be converted very easily in to a separate guest annexe or more bedrooms.

Adjacent to The Cloisters is one of two outside dining areas, a pergola covered terrace furnished with wooden dining table and chairs.

Moving around the private walled pool area you find the second external dining area with bench seating and a table and bar area topped with Mexican marble.

Beyond the wall of the pool area to the rear of the plot there is a triangular shaped garden planted with trees and Mediterranean style shrubs and laid with shingle; whilst at the front of the plot there is off road parking for several cars and also gate access to park within the boundary fencing.

At the risk of using the word unique for fear of contradiction, I think it is safe to say that it is certainly a contender for the use of it and would invite potential purchasers for their comments when having viewed it.

The village of Alfaix is a few kilometres off the A7/E15 main arterial road through Spain making travelling times to Almería, Murcia and Alicante airports 45, 80 and 120 minutes respectively.

Although a small village Alfaix does have a couple of shops, a medical centre, vehicle deliveries of bread, fish etc and also a holiday complex with a bar and shop open to the general public which is a very useful addition for the village.

Alfaix does also have its own annual fiesta which, like the village, is small and if you did not know it was happening you could miss it whilst its larger neighbouring and parent village (for the benefit of the town hall and legal matters) of Los Gallardos has more amenities.

Los Gallardos is a popular destination for Spanish and tourists alike for the annual Three Kings celebration and re-enactment in January and also the July fiesta. The village has received considerable funding to build a new health centre, school and sports facilities with a new cultural centre currently under construction.

Golfers have a varied selection of courses to choose from in the area including Marina Playa on the coast, the Arizona style course at Desert Springs and the Valle del Este with 4* Hotel & Spa just a few kilometres away.

Skiing in the morning and being down on the beach in the afternoon is possible with Sierra Nevada ski resort being only approximately 2½ hours away and in recent years has grown in popularity with some of the best snowfalls in Europe.

Walking, bowls and craft clubs are also plentiful so there is always something that you can get involved with should you wish to.
